The role is characterised by an exciting level of diversity and is key to this the companies offering as a strategic and insight led communications planning agency. You will be involved in a wide variety of pitches and work on a range of key clients.

You will quickly become an expert on their research tools and develop your research skills through both on the job training and MRS specialist training. You will play a key role in delivering value to planners and clients through your application of the tools, as well as developing insight from both primary and desk research.

The successful candidate will contribute in shaping a truly unique insight offering through the creation of data-orientated insights in a fun, challenging and engaging way. We are looking for someone who understands where new insight opportunities lie in an increasingly digital world, but also appreciates the value of watching, talking to, and surveying consumers to uncover new truths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a good working knowledge of our proprietary research tools (to develop insights and support planners on using and applying them)
  • Perform desk research to analyse current sources of research to pull out relevant insights (e.g. social monitoring, search analytics, syndicated surveys, client surveys & analysis)
  • Develop your primary research skills, both qualitative and quantitative, including questionnaire design, quantitative analysis, moderating focus groups, moderating online communities
  • Work with the team to develop new and alternative approaches to talk directly to consumers
  • Liaise effectively with clients (both internal and external), as the main day-to-day contact, using your insight and project knowledge to contribute to client meetings and presentations effectively and appropriately
  • To collaborate with the planning and strategy team to develop insights into a strategic idea
  • Help in management of a reporting assistant on relevant projects
  • Keeping up to date with developments in insight and media research, and applying these to the insight product offering

Core Competencies

  • 3+ years’ experience working in an insight role
  • A genuine curiosity and passion for understanding consumer motivation
  • A good analytical mind with the ability to question data
  • An understanding of the various different data channels, including digital
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail & advanced Excel skills
  • A drive to provide innovative client solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Reliable, articulate and assertive
  • Able to prioritise work, and manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience with media research tools such as TGI, Telmar, social listening
  • Knowledge and experience of running quantitative and qualitative projects
  • Experience in a media agency/owner environment or research agency preferred
