Energize Digital are partnered with a leading online contact lens retailer who are looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for gathering requirements for their websites. This role will appeal to an individual who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and would love to become part of an industry leading ecommerce business. You will be based from their London office working on a hybrid basis, working closely with and reporting to the CMO.



About the role


This is an opportunity to help guide the company through the most ambitious and exciting phase of development on its web platform since the company was formed over 20 years ago.


You will need to be flexible and adaptable to support the delivery of roadmap items for the current platform and be ready for the next level challenge when the new platform goes live. The role will be dealing with internal stakeholders at all levels throughout the business.

  • Product ownership of the current Magento platform
  • Drive product strategy in line with business and commercial priorities (i.e revenue and customer acquisition)
  • Define success and acceptance criteria for the QA team
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end product development life-cycle, from strategy through to product design and execution
  • Make data-driven decisions when defining product requirements
  • Capture and define requirements into clear product capabilities and features
  • Create and share documentation on new features and implementations
  • Work closely with stakeholders to optimise existing product features
  • Support web delivery team and participate in scrum ceremonies
  • Gather insight from usability studies, A/B testing, analytics and sales data
  • Create viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation of new features and stability for the existing platform
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business and across departments
  • Validate, prioritise and plan roadmap
  • Regular reporting and tracking of product roadmap
  • Collaborate with UX/UI


What they are looking for…


  • Minimum of two years PM experience and significant exposure to fast-moving B2C ecommerce
  • Strong product knowledge and experience working with Magento
  • A quick learner, who can hit the ground running and is able to understand and manage the different integrations and requirements for multiple websites
  • Experience in Agile projects methodologies (e.g. Scrum/ Kanban)
  • Demonstratable experience of successful projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to translate technical language in order engage with non-technical team members
  • Strong cross-functional and organisational skills
  • Experience with testing e-commerce websites
